Wedding Day On the big day, I will arrive 45 to 60 minutes prior to the wedding to set up and coordinate with your photographer, the venue, your wedding planner and wedding party, this includes keeping everyone calm, pinning on boutonnières, handing out clean tissues and making sure the wedding rings are on hand! I will solemnise your wedding ensuring you are legally married according to the Marriage Act of 1961. You will receive a printed and bound copy of your wedding script and your signing pen, along with your commemorative marriage certificate. After the ceremony I will lodge all the legal paperwork with Births, Deaths & Marriages and if you are married in Victoria, I will order your official certificate of marriage from BDM.

Legals Only Ceremonies
If you are only looking for a brief ceremony that fulfils the legal requirements for marriage in Australia then a legals only ceremony may be right for you.
Legals Only Ceremonies
With this service I still offer you a no obligation chat where we can discuss your plans and I will explain the process required to legally marry in Australia.
I conduct legals only ceremonies in my office or my sunny rose garden at home in Markwood. If needed I can organise the two legal witnesses that are required under the Marriage Act of 1961. The ceremony duration is approximately 15 minutes, before we begin, I will ask you to sign the ‘No legal impediment to marriage’ form. Once this form is signed, I will make the legal statement and you will recite the legal vows then along with the witnesses, we will sign all the required documents. I offer a glass of soft drink or sparkling wine to toast your marriage at the conclusion of the ceremony.
After the ceremony I will lodge all the legal paperwork with Births, Deaths & Marriages.
Same Sex Marriages
Do I perform them? Absolutely, with joy in my heart. Marriage is about love and commitment not about gender, so when December 2017 rolled around and Australian Law finally caught up, I raised a glass of bubbly and said "it's about time".
It would be my privilege and pleasure to be your celebrant and to celebrate your love with you no matter what type of ceremony you are looking for.
